This beech wooden chair is an historical model, that has made history of design, a model for real connoisseurs.

The inclusion of a ring made of curved wood, placed in the backrest, illustrates the ability and the expertise of craftsmen that realised it, thanks to the ancient technique of steam bending, carefully handmade, one piece at a time.

Thonet anticipated a fondness for the curved line, typical of Art Nouveau style (known in Italy as Liberty Style), that will have reached his greatest expression between the end of 1800 and the first decade of 1900.

Today Thonet chairs, are still exhibited in many design museums, as for example the MOMA in New York.
